'Gwennan and James Collaboration' Urban, Colour & Emotion, Wimbledon College of Art

This Performance took place on Friday 27th November on the 17:32 train from Wimbledon to Bedford.

We decided to change the environment of the carriage in this train with the materials that we had found in it. Gwennan wrote a list of verbs which could be used as a series of actions for this piece and which would help us determine prior to the performance what tools to bring with us.

The verbs were:

To hang, to cut, to stick, to rip, to attach, to destroy, to stitch, to create, to draw, to paint, to read, to fuse, to recycle, to adapt, to glue

It was only when we reached central London that our fellow travellers started to take an interest. And then a couple came to sit in the space as we had just finished it. They referred to it as the honeymoon suite. We all had a nice chat. They had been visiting galleries in London during the day.

So rewarding, in fact that we ended up getting off at St Albans, having missed the stop for King's Cross.
