A gallery exhibition visited out of interest in the theme of abstract painting. There was a varied range of work on show, all with a different scale. The large scaled paintings were very striking and obscure, due to the irregular shapes and visual representations. It is hard to pin the images down to a particular movement or style, due to spontaneous nature of the paintings. Robert Fry was one artist in particular who stood out, with his portrayal of peoples outside and insides, geometric lines emerging from the blends of vivid colours and scale in which he works. The geometric lines merged with the body studies is something to consider. As well as this, looking deeper into the underpinning meaning of the work and researching into geometry within Fine Art.
